Whole-house flooring renovations, carpet replacements, and downtown loft installs for Towne Lake, Downtown Woodstock, River Park, Eagle Watch, and the established Cherokee County neighborhoods our Kennesaw showroom has supported for years.
Schedule a Consultation Get A Free EstimateWoodstock has gone through one of the bigger transformations of any city in our service area. Downtown Woodstock used to be a quiet historic main street, and over the last decade it has filled in with restaurants, retail, and the residential conversions around The Mill on Etowah, the kind of mixed-use blocks that draw younger buyers into walkable urban living. South of downtown, Towne Lake remains the dominant residential anchor: a planned community built mostly through the 1990s and 2000s, with thousands of homes now hitting the 20-to-30-year mark and showing the wear that triggers a flooring renovation. Surrounding neighborhoods like River Park, Eagle Watch, and the corridor along Highway 92 toward BridgeMill add another layer of established subdivision homes ready for refresh. Our Kennesaw showroom on Barrett Parkway sits about 15 minutes south on I-575, which is why Woodstock has been a steady part of our renovation work for as long as the company has been in business.
The renovation pattern in Woodstock is clear: original carpet and builder-grade laminate from the 90s and 2000s coming out, hard surface going in across the main level, and updated carpet going back into bedrooms and bonus rooms. Here is how the four product categories show up across the city.
Luxury vinyl plank is the most-installed product in Woodstock right now. Towne Lake homeowners replacing original carpet and aging laminate with waterproof LVP across the main level is the single most common project we run in the city. Downtown Woodstock loft conversions and the residential units around The Mill on Etowah also lean LVP because of the concrete substrate and the desire for a continuous run across open floor plans. Wider planks in mid-tone finishes are the typical specification.
Hardwood shows up two ways in Woodstock. Original site-finished oak in the older homes near downtown often justifies a full sand-and-refinish rather than replacement, especially in the historic district off Main Street. In the higher-end custom builds along the Lake Allatoona side of Towne Lake and the larger lots on the way to BridgeMill, wide-plank engineered hardwood is the typical renovation choice when the existing floor has been worn past refinishing.
Carpet holds the bedroom wings, bonus rooms, and stairs in most Woodstock homes. Mohawk SmartStrand, Shaw stain-resist constructions, and Dreamweaver options handle the kid and pet traffic typical of Towne Lake and Eagle Watch households. For homes where the original carpet is dated but still has life left in it, a re-stretch and clean is sometimes the right call before a full replacement is on the table.
Laminate still has a place in finished basements, bonus rooms above the garage, and rental conversions in Downtown Woodstock. In Towne Lake homes where laminate was used originally on main floors, it is almost always coming out in favor of LVP during renovation.
Vinyl is a high-performance pick for busy playrooms and attic suites where owners want a “life-proof” surface that resists the scratches and dents of heavy daily use.
For Woodstock homeowners who are mid-renovation and need to move quickly, in-stock material at our Kennesaw showroom can be pulled from inventory the same week. The drive south on I-575 takes about 15 minutes, and weekend pickup is part of the routine for Cherokee County DIY projects:
Stocked rolls suited to a full Towne Lake bedroom-wing turnover or a bonus-room redo, with stain-resist constructions built for active Cherokee County households
Waterproof planks ready to pull for main-level renovation projects in Towne Lake homes, downtown loft conversions, and walkout basements in established subdivisions
Wood-look options for finished basements and bonus rooms where the budget concentrates on the visible main level
Life-proof, wood-look flooring that handles spills and dampness in high-use auxiliary rooms.
Many Woodstock projects start with a sample pickup on a Saturday and a full installation a week or two later.
Woodstock projects span Towne Lake whole-house renovations, Downtown Woodstock commercial build-outs, established subdivision turnovers, and the kind of phased remodel work that happens while the family is still living in the home. Here is what we provide:
Every installation is backed by a 1-year labor warranty.
The Flooring Atlanta showroom on Barrett Parkway is roughly 15 minutes south of most Woodstock addresses on I-575, with Towne Lake and Downtown Woodstock both falling inside that drive window in normal traffic.

The showroom carries the full sample library across LVP, hardwood, vinyl, carpet, and laminate, plus working displays for renovation finish details like wide-plank stagger, stair nosing profiles, and transition handling between hard surface and carpet. Woodstock customers regularly pull samples on a weekday evening or weekend morning, take them home to compare against existing cabinetry or paint, and return to confirm the selection before the install is scheduled.
Woodstock projects often sit somewhere on the spectrum between extending what is already there and starting fresh, and the right answer is rarely obvious from the showroom floor. The conversation can include questions like whether a 25-year-old carpet is worth re-stretching for another two years or whether the budget is better spent replacing it now.

It depends on what the carpet looks like once you flip it back. If the pile is still in reasonable shape, the seams are intact, and the padding underneath has not flattened to the point of being uncomfortable, a re-stretch is a legitimate two-to-three-year extension on the existing floor. If the pile is worn at traffic lanes, the seams are visibly separating, or the padding has compacted, replacement is the better spend. Our team will look at the actual carpet during a visit before quoting either path. Request a free estimate and we will document what we see.
Most of the residential conversions in Downtown Woodstock and around The Mill on Etowah sit on concrete slab, which makes luxury vinyl plank the most common specification. LVP installs cleanly over concrete, handles the urban-living traffic patterns of unit residents, and works well for the open-plan layouts those conversions tend to favor. Engineered hardwood is also viable when paired with the right underlayment, and we walk through both options at the Kennesaw showroom before you commit.
For occupied-home renovations, the sequence usually runs upstairs to downstairs or wing by wing, depending on which rooms the family needs daily access to. We tear out, prep, install, and clean each zone before moving to the next, with furniture moved into staged protected areas of the house rather than out to a storage unit. The kitchen and at least one full bathroom stay in service throughout. Book a consultation to walk through the sequence for your specific Woodstock layout.
